Blood Pressure?
Question:
Thanks a Bunch!
Answers:
Low normal is 90/60 and high normal is 140/90. So, anywhere between is considered "ok". Occasionally, people's bottom number will run in the 50's but not often. If you're consistently reading above 140/90, you're considered to have hypertension. Doctors usually don't like patients to stay at 140/90, they usually prefer a lower reading
120 over 70 is good.
ideal blood pressure is 120/80 or lower depending upon your family history of heart disease.
The top number is the pressure inside the blood vessels when your heart is squeezing, and the bottom number is the pressure when your heart is relaxing (in between beats).
If your blood pressure goes above 140/90 on more than three separate occasions, you are said to have hypertension.
