Potential Heart problems?

talk to your parents about this and if you know how take your pulse rate. Should be no higher than 80. Rest a little and if continues get to the ER. young people can have heart trouble too, I was really surprised after my heart attack to see so many young people in the cardiac Dr. office. It may be something very simple as irregular heart beat, things controlled by medication.
If your heart is still racing... 150 beats per minute or more give or take 10 beats then YES. Check your pulse. If it is still racing like this several minutes after the activity then yes. If not then you probably just did the exercises poorly and pulled something.
Your workout may have caused some pulled muscles. This would cause pain in your chest and arms. If you used one arm more than another, that arm will be painful. If the pain continues, go to a doctor! If you can stop the pain by lying down or supporting the areas that hurts with a pillow or cushion or by taking a med like Tylenol, you probably have pulled muscles.
Since a few days have passed, are you feeling better? Has the pain lessened? If so, it's muscles. Before working out be sure you stretch for about 10-15 minutes before you start.
Lana is the reason why you shouldn't seek medical advice here... At age 16 the upper limit for tachycardic rate is 160; your pulse is considered normal up to that, and even that isn't emergent, only symptomatic. If it hasn't gone down to about about 100-110 by now call an ER in your area and ask to speak with a nurse to describe any additional symptoms.
