What do these symptoms sound like to you?
Question:
I know it's gross, but I just can't figure it out!
I'm not pregnant. (I checked.) But I am on the pill, and have been for years. Doctors just shake their heads at me and tell me to take rolaids and pepto. Those just aren't cutting it anymore. Could it be an inner ear issue? I don't have headaches. My wisdom teeth have already been pulled. I am not lactose intolerant, and I eat relatively healthy. It doesn't seem to matter if I eat, when I eat or what I eat. I exercise frequently, but I am a bit overweight.
What do you think?
Answers:
I know a woman who had similar symptoms. She ended up having Lukemia.I am not trying to scare you so please don't take it that way.
sounds you eat too much meat and you don't chew your food. Try chewing 70 times a bite/
could be acid reflux or gurd, might try pepcid and see it that works couldn't hurt
Have any of these doctors thought to check your gall bladder function?
Have you been tested for h. pylori?
Do you have gastric reflux?
Go to a gastroenterologist or an internist.
Have you recently changed the birth control pill you are on? I know that when I first started my BC pills and then restarted another one it would cause symptoms of nausea and heartburn until I got use to the pill.
Maybe you are starting to have acid reflux disease. My friend had it and she had to get better prescription medication for it. She can't even eat pepper, and most people put pepper in their foods. Try not eat spicy food or foods with acid.
If this really bothers you and it doesn't get better you should really go to a different doctor to check it out. Don't take no for a answer, if you think something is wrong be persistent.
A gastroenterologist will like to perform oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy on you which may ascertain the cause.
It sounds like you are feeling really bad. The doctors are just not getting that you aren't getting better on rolaids. You need to see a G.I. specialist. Your doctor could refer you to one, but you have to let him know you aren't getting better.
How old are you? And does it happen all the time or some few times a month? I notice most women have several different symptoms when near their period, especially after their 30s.
they told me the same thing. turned out to be my gallbladder, had it removed and im fine.
you will need to get an MRI. or a full body scan. what ever you do don't second guess yourself. these two test will reveal whatever the underlying cause is. Also sweetie,I want you to have yourself tested for (tubular pregnancy). its quite tricky to diagnose. but it can also be very dangerous for us women. I say this because you did say that you are pleasingly plump. it can be quite elusive, in a female your size. go back to your GYN. and demand this test. good luck. and do this as soon as possible. The pill is a fertile females best friend, but there are times when it is also two faced.
If you aren't dizzy, it probably isn't inner ear. The prilosec thing is telling. You need to go beyond regular MD's that prescribe rolaids and pepto. It is hard to believe that there are still doctors out there that just want to mask symptoms.
I second the suggestion to see a gastroenterologist. Find out what the heck is going on down there. Then find a natural-minded MD or an ND that can help you plan a diet that will FIX what is wrong with you vs HIDING it or trying not to aggravate it.
I also suggest you find a way to get off of birth control pills. They will only contribute to the hormonal imbalances that can cause things like nausea and weight gain.
In the meantime, have you tried taking digestive enzymes with all of your meals? If you aren't digesting your food properly, it won't go through properly. This is a super common problem as we age.
