Is there a hospital in Minnesota that specializes in children heart valve replacements or repairs?

Question:

Answers:
In Minnesota, the most experienced centers for heart surgery in children are in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Rochester.

There are two main groups of surgeons who specialize in pediatric cardiovascular surgery. They operate at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (http://www.uofmchildrenshospital.org/)... and at Children's Hospitals and Clinics (http://www.childrensmn.org/) which has a Minneapolis and a St. Paul campus.

The other option is the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (http://mayoclinic.org/).

(There is no St. Jude Medical Center in Minnesota, Jenna. You may be confusing St. Jude Medical Center with St. Jude Medical, Inc. which is a medical device manufacturer headquartered in St. Paul.)

Hope that helps!
I don't know about Minnesota, but you can check out Arkansas Children's Hospital. They have many of the top childrens specialists in the world! I take many patients from Missouri down there- ranging anywhere from valve repairs to heart transplant patients.

Ther is St. Jude Medical and Mayo Clinic check out website
for Mayo Clinic - www.mayoclinic.org or
St. Jude Medical Center - www.stjudemedicalcenter.org. Do you have a Dr where you are at? A Primary Dr. (Pediatric Dr.) that Dr would general refer you. My Daughter has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. See's a Cardiology Dr here in Madison. Might have to go to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota cause the Dr she see is a Pediatric Cardiology Dr and she is now 18 years old she will have to see an adult Cardiology Dr. who specializes in what she has. Good luck to you and your child.
