Is it dangerous for me to be in an Eptopic Atrial Rythm?

Question:
I am 32 with dialated cardiomypathy/Congestive heart failure (BNP 121 currently). I am on coreg, avapro, and HCTZ. I have been feeling fine until lately, i am tired, fatigued, sometimes feel like I'm going to faint when up for to long, and I'm so tired. I went to the ER and got an EKG and it says I'm in an Eptopic Atrial Rythm (which means my heart is not firing from the SA node.) but somewhere else in the artrium. I visited the cardioligist and he said he is not concerned because alot of people do just fine in this rythm.this is a new dr for me in my new home town, but my old caridologist in Hawaii said I feel this way because of the rythm. Does anyone know about this rythm? I have been reading online and found out that if your in this rythm it could mean the SA node in the heart is failing. Can someone help me to understand this? I would appreacite any information

Answers:
It may be opposite. The ectopic rhythm develops because the SA node is failing and so the ectopic rhythm takes over. I think it is too complicated and if you don't trust the doctor who is treating you, you may change the doctor, but what he told you is correct. Even AV node takes over in certain conditions and it is compatible with normal (well, within limits) life.
Good luck!
