Its not so much seizures, but muscle spasms. They look a lot alike. Rigarmortis is another weird movements that peoples bodies do after they pass. If a person dies in a chair in the upright position, and they stay there for a while before someone finds them, when they go to day them down on a bed or stretcher their bodies will sometimes automatically pop back up into the chair/upright position. This can be quite scary!

I have seen animals struggle and spasm as they die, while some slip away quietly. I would gather that it depends on what the cause of death is.
On television they show people doing the same thing but I have never witnessed a person die so I cant tell you that one. Thinking it would be the same though.
