A sore chest, a tight feeling in teh chest, short of breath, coughing, wheezing, and a lot of phlegm.
How long does it last? Depends if you're getting treatment or how bad the infection is. I'd say it should clear up naturally (if its a normal chest infection) in about a week...but if after 4-5 days and it's still there you may wish to consult a doctor.
A lot of coughing up stuff and i guess the length of it depends on your immune system. I once had a bad chest and it really was painful, so i drank about 4 or 5 large whiskies and crawled up the stairs to bed. In the morning it had all gone.
Frequent coughing,breathlessness,excess... phlegm.Only antibiotics can clear it up and the sooner you see your doctor the sooner it will go.When given a course of antibiotics make sure you take the whole course over seven days do not stop taking them as soon as the symptoms subside or infection could return.
