Sounds like mange to me. Take him to the vet, poor thing must be in agony.

Just kidding, sounds like it could be mange. My dog had it and we brought him to the vet and got some medicine we had to give him everyday for about a week and it went away.I was really happy cus I thought it was incureable. It might not be mange but take him to the vet anyway.
