Im wondering if anyone else has problems swallowing as a result of inhaled steroids for asthma?

Question:
I am currently taking flovent but have had the same thing with other corticosteroids.

Answers:
Yep. I have actually been scoped twice to determine the cause. To date, the only thing believed to cause it is reflux - as a result of the medication. I now take nexium and do not notice it nearly as much. You might bring this up next time you are at the doctors office. Depending on the duration of the symptoms he or she may refer you to an internal medicine physician. There is a ton of new research now being done that examines the relationship between asthma and digestive disorders.
