Heartrate Test for job?

Question:
I had to take a test that had me doing two things. 1st was stepping up and down on a box for 3 minutes at a normal pace. And the other was lifting a 50lb box up on shelves and taking it off.
My resting heartrate was 105, and when i was doing the stepping test i think it went up to 135. Is this normal??

Answers:
The normal resting heart rate is 50 to 90. This replaces the older norm of 60 to 100. The change to a lower resting heart rate was based on more than 200 ambulatory blood pressure and pulse studies. I am not as concerned with you exercise heart rate of 135 as I am with your resting heart rate of 105. A resting heart rate higher than 90 is a surrogate marker for premature cardiovascular disease. You need to take your heart rate on several occasions to verify accuracy and if it is indeed above 90 then it is imperative that you see your physician.
Kind of a high heart rate...
your resting heart rate is 105??
dood, get some exercise and get in shape.
you are prime candidate for a heart attack
the 135 doing hard work isn't too bad, but the resting 105 is horrible!

EDIT: 170 pounds doesn't mean you're in shape.
However, a resting heartrate of 105 says you are in no shape at all.
for your own sake, start getting some exersice. regularly.
Both numbers appear higher than they should be, are you overweight or just out of condition? exercise on a regular basis improves these numbers.
My question is what kind of job are going for (I am assuming this is a new job)??. Your job has no right at all to know anything about your health (You protected by the privacy laws) a if this has anything to do with getting a job --- it's again an invasion of your privacy and a form of descrinination and the company is in jeapardy of getting sued.
