my grandma is a diabetic and since diabetics are more likely to get infected from open wounds she puts a little iodine(an antiseptic) to remove most of the bacteria(keep the wound clean by applying iodine regularly), this would speed healing, for sores maybe creams (medication may interfere with diabetes), speeding up your metabolism(increase you blood circulation) would speed healing.
