Strange chest feeling? =(?
Question:
as soon as i felt it i thought "what the hell" and then i got a sharp pain moving from my left side to the right side of chest.
i do get frequent chest pains on BOTH sides of my chest atm.. the pain is like where the breasts are but also close to the edge where the rib cage curves. ive also had in the centre but not much compared to the sides.
it is scaring me abit because i do too have like sharp punching in my back aswell, i think it is the lungs or some blockage somewhere in my circulation.
ALSO does x ray show your bodys circulation?
i need to find out if i have a blockage or something wrong inside as it is really bothering me now.
Answers:
moving pain through your chest or trunk is often just gas. But if you are truly worried, see a doctor. You didn't say how old you are. You could have a heart problem so I would get it checked out. Circulation is not often a problem in your chest - that would be in your arms or legs, fingers and toes. I think it is gas, but not being able to examine you, would recommend you go to the docs.
Just go to the doctor. We have no idea of your age, your health history, your stress level, or other symptoms or accidents you may have had overtime so a doctor who could run tests would be your best bet.
Noncardiac chest pain may be caused by:
1. Costochondritis. Inflammation of the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone. See http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costoch... The white "ribs" in this photo are cartilage that may become inflamed and cause pain: http://medimages.healthopedia.com/large/... You may also hurt here: http://medicalimages.allrefer.com/large/...
2. Pleuritis. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pleuris... Inflammation of the covering of the lungs. The #1 image is the lining of the lungs: http://medimages.healthopedia.com/large/...
3. GERD. Gastroesophageal reflux disease can mimic cardiac symptoms. You do not have to feel "heartburn" to have GERD. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gerd/ds...
4. Hiatal hernia. Part of the stomach protrudes through your chest cavity.

Do either of the above look/sound familiar? You may also want to read about other causes of chest pain at

Your mentioning pain at the curve of the rib cage may indicate costochondritis (literally, "cartilage" "inflammation" "condition").
You may want to discuss the above conditions with your physician.
