Is it bad to drink alcohol if you have a kidney infection?

Question:
ive had it for a couple of days and ive almost got rid of it.

Answers:
Oh Yeah..it's bad. You have an infection of your kidneys, the last thing you need to do is drink alcohol. You need to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice(not the best tasting~but works!) You need to be flushing your kidneys out...that's why the need for all the water, and the juice helps keep the bacteria from re-attatching to the wall of the bladder. The juice drank during no kideny infection is supposed to be a good preventative for it.
I'd say, stick with this and what you're doing now untill infection is completly gone, and then when all better, you can drink alcohol.
You may thnk you have got rid of it, but without antibotics it will come back with a vengence. alcohol only adds fuel to the fire. Drink water and cranberry juice. Along with the antibotics.
Yes...drinking alcohol will only place more stress on your kidneys and usually does not go too well with antibiotics either (which I assume you're on).

Kidney infections are nothing to mess around with.
YES it is bad to drink alcohol with a kidney infection.. It isn't good for someone in the best of health, how can it be good with a kidney problem?
