Do you think i have a weak bowel?
Question:
i know you wee more when you've been drinking anyway..but i can have 1 or 2 pints...get my bus home..and walking from the bus stop to my house(not even 5 mins!) i either have to wee in the street hoping no 1 is about, or end up wetting myself!!
i just can't hold it much anymore no matter how much i concentrate!!
i'm the worst on pints but also other drinks, and when i haven't had an alcoholic drink i can struggle too. when i need a wee i need 1! there's no holding it!
saying that though, i can go a good few hours without needing the toilet at all.
i've only been like this the last year.
what do you think it is?
if it is a weak bowel what should i do, and is there a cure?.i'm not very old!
Answers:
You do not say if you are male or female, but either way you need to see your doctor to make sure there is no physical problems. If that's all OK, cut down on the alcohol, drink soft drinks in between. Start do some pelvic floor exercises to strengthen the muscles around your bladder (yes they are useful for men too!), if that does not work then you may need to consider incontinence aids.
I think you mean weak bladder? I would pee myself too if i drank 2 pints and didn't go to the toilet. You could see your GP about pelvic floor exercises.
First of all it is your BLADDER that holds your water not bowel. You could have a weak bladder. There are other reasons for wanting to urgently pass water. If it continues see your GP.!!
Maybe you have a urinary tract infection? Or irritable bowel syndrome? It's not pleasant stuff to talk about, but it happens sometimes.
Bowel?? You must mean bladder. I'm the same when I'v been drinking. It's a diuretic so it makes you pee!
maybe the alcohol is irritating yr bladder which is why u need to pee so urgently. does it also happen with other fluids? do u go to the loo before leaving yr drinking place if not try that. otherwise all u can do is seek medical advice or cut down the amount u drink.
I will not sit here and play mind games with you. I am old enough, and aware that you are simply trying to get someone to tell you that you don't have a drinking problem, when you know as well as I, that you do. which explains why you're saying bowel, when the correct terminology is (bladder). and I think you know this. and I think its been going on for awhile. your kidney's are being bombarded with an over abundance of alcohol. which in turn is causing the excessive urination. while at the same time you are damaging your liver to the point where you can develop cirrosis of the liver. please donot continue to play these mind games with yourself. I sense you are a very intelligent person, with a lot on your mind and instead of getting the help that you need .you've chosen instead to drown in your sorrows. I know there is someone or somebody out there who loves and needs you. if you won't do it for yourself, than please, do it for them. and good luck
