Lump on my head?

Question:
I have a weird lump about the size of a dime and its rather like a large mosquito bite. its is firm and i don't know if it's just a swollen lymph node because of allergies or what. should i get it looked at?

Answers:
We can't tell anything without seeing it, which means you are going to have to show it to someone who can see it, like a doctor. Chances are it isn't anything important, but it certainly isn't worth the risk of ignoring it.
yes ...ask a docotor.NOW !!
lol its only a misquitto bite no biggy. I have the type of skin which is allergic to masquitto bites. I don't die or anything it just swells up a lot more then other peoples do. You may be allergic to them to. Or just your face is. Buy this stuff its called after bite. Apply it every half and hour for a whole day and it should dissapear the next day. If it doesn't .. or doesn't even go down then go to your doctor

(L) good luck
Yes, see a doctor. But I think you're right about lymph nodes being involed. If it is a swollen lymph node, it could be infected and you have got to start on antibiotics if it is or it can get much worse. And if it isn't, you need to find out what it is.
Ask someone you trust to look at it. While you are feeling around on your head, feel the exact same place behind your other ear. Is there one on the other side? If so , maybe its natural and you just never noticed it before.
any lump on body need to be check out by doctor
It's a lymph node. Do you have a sore throat, runny nose , sore tooth, etc? It should go down by itself as your body destroys the germs.
Doctors dx is best- though it could be a po'd hair follicle or ingrown hair- possibly pimple or a bite of some sort- often times a sore on your head can travel down to the nerve behind your ear and feel a little tender there as well.
If it doesn't go away or at least shrink some by the weekend, I would make an appt with the doc.
