Pneumonia ?
Question:
Answers:
Pneumonia is acute inflammation of the lungs caused by infection. Initial diagnosis is usually based on chest x-ray. Causes, symptoms, treatment, preventive measures, and prognosis differ depending on whether the infection is bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasitic; whether it is acquired in the community, hospital, or nursing home; and whether it develops in a patient who is immunocompetent or immunocompromised.
The following measures can help you recover more quickly and decrease your risk of complications:
* Get plenty of rest. Even when you start to feel better, be careful not to overdo it.
* Drink lots of fluids, especially water. Liquids keep you from becoming dehydrated and help loosen mucus in your lungs.
* Take the entire course of any prescribed medications. Stopping medication too soon can cause your pneumonia to come back and contributes to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
* Keep all of your follow-up appointments. Even though you feel better, your lungs may still be infected. It's important to have your doctor monitor your progress.

I'm sorry to hear that! I've had it a few times and I know that a humidifier helped me a lot. Also, lots of sleep is always a good cure when you're sick! I hope your baby gets better!
Dont worry try and remain calm, even though pneumonia is scary to think of, if the baby is hospitalized and given the proper anitbiotics u have little to worry abt! good luck
Just keep your baby as comfortable as possible, plenty of fluids, a well ventilated warmish quiet room and as much sleep as He/She will take. Normal feeding as much as possible.
Difficult advice - try to keep yourselves as calm as possible.
Monitor skin colour and call you Dr if you are unsure or concerned.
Hope all goes well as it certainly should.
