You really need to check with a doctor because you may have a medical conditions that prevents you from doing so, but a lot of people do to take them every day. I do on the advice of a doctor.

i have the same thing. try taking two a day, one in the morning and at night. or get allergy tested and get shots.
No not really. You should only take over the counter allergy medication if you need to like if your allergies are really bad. Now for the medication you have to take everyday is the one that the physician prescibes for you that one is ok to take everyday, Because taking too much of the over the counter will help slow down the allergies but during the day you will feel very sleepy because its artificial which could be bad.
Depending on the medication your taking and the dose you should be safe. My daughter takes singulair every night before bed and hasnt been sick for two years.
Is it a prescribed allergy medication for seasonal allergies or are you treating your own symptoms?? If you are taking over-the-counter allergy medicine,then you shouldn't take it for any longer than 2 weeks,if you still have symptoms. In this case, you need to be evaluated by your Doc. Many over-the-counter medications can interfere with other medications that you may be taking.Are you taking the medicine because it makes you drowsy and you have insomnia??
