Immedient Pimple Question!?

Question:
I have a big red/yellow pimple on my chin and it hurts really bad. I have a band concer in a couple hours and I play clarinet. Help! How do I make the pain go away and it go away?

Answers:
Apply moist heat, as hot as you can stand. Use a clean washcloth, dampen it and microwave it to get it heated. Keep putting it on the spot. If it is already showing a yellow spot on the top, this should encourage it to drain. After you've had the heat on it a couple times, it will look a lot nastier and redder, but you should see a very definite white head on the top. Ordinarily I don't suggest opening it, but in this case, you can prick the top very carefully with a clean needle or pin. Clean the needle with alcohol first. Then put the heat back on it. This should make it drain out completely, and that will relieve a lot of the pressure and pain. Don't put anything else on it, though- no coverup and no makeup. Just cover it with a bandaid. After your concert, do the heat thing again, and if you have some acne gel or some tea tree oil, put on a tiny bit. Cover it with a bandaid if you can, and leave it be. Once it drains it will heal fine in a few days.
Forget about the pain and try to pop it or put concealer on it. If you do pop it, make sure to clean it well before and after.
Try putting a piece of gauze with marjoram packed into it ,over the pimple. It should be dampened. Then place a hot compress over the poultice. The marjoram will soften the top of it and draw the pus to the top, where it can easily be squeezed out.You may need to keep the compress on for an hour, keep wringing it out in hot water to keep the heat on that spot. Good luck!
