TB - If exposed to it, or it been injected, how long before you see symptoms?

Question:
For example, fluid on the lungs?

Answers:
Sorry, there is no exact incubation period for TB like there is for most diseases. The truth is that the incubation period for TB can be anywhere from weeks to months to even years! It is an unpredictable time period.

Now there are also two types of TB:
active - makes you sick and you are contagious
infection or latent - no symptoms, no contagion

If you exhibit symptoms, they will include:
fatigue
long term coughing
blood tinged sputum
loss of appetite
unexplained weight loss
fever
chills
night sweats
pleurisy (painful breathing)

If you are worried that you might have contracted TB, please see your doctor (10 weeks after exposure) and request a TB test (usually a Mantoux test). The test will reveal whether or not you have been exposed.
