Can an expectorant rationale restlessness or hyperactivity?
At the advice of my child's pediatrician, we give him an expectorant ( active ingredient: Ambroxol Hydrochloride). The purpose be to clear his sinus cavities of mucus. He have seemed much more stirring and restless than normal...anyone else own this experience?
What thoughtful of sickness is this?
Answers: It is common!! When I am prescribed Guafenesin (sp?) it does that to me, next makes me crash and burn. On the qualification label is say may cause drowsiness, but I know alot of population who have the different reaction...it make them hyper.
Be careful near some of the OTC cold medicine. When my stepdaughter be younger (I think she be about 2...very soon 13) the pediatrician recommended Dimatapp for her for her congestion and sinus problems. My husband spent all dark driving her around to get her to sleep because it cause her to hallucinate and caused nightmares near the hallucinations.
Yes this could possibly be cause it. What's the name of the prescription? If you go on askapatient.com and type surrounded by the name of the medication, you can see other people's side effects to that med. I am taking some different stuff right very soon for sinusitis which gives me hours of darkness sweats and sleeplessness. When I went on askapatient.com I notice that some people have the same side effects, while some have totally different (and worse) ones - everyone is different. Check with your doctor if you are worried and he/she will bring up to date you if your child should discontinue use or not.
