Smoking???

Question:

My Grampa is farely old, and he smokes waayy to much. My dad has been trying to get him to quit because his health is not so great. We nearly had him off cigaretts and then there was a huge tragity in our family, probably affecting him the most. Now he is back to smoking a pack a day. How can I help get off smoking?
***Note. I'm not that close to him.

i would let him know how it is effecting you and how you feel. other than that it is really up to that persons motivation to stop.. hopefully you can be enough moitvation for him! good luck!

well honestly, if he does not want to quit smoking then he won't that is just the sad truth about it. NO matter what you do or say won't help, he has to WANT it for himself. Just like a drug addict or an alcoholic, they have to want to help themselves or no-one else can. sry hun, but its true.

I dont know how to help you. im trying to get my DAD off of smoking about a pack a day. you really cant change someone elses doing. i try and try and it doesnt work. good luck.

U can try by helping him to decrease the number of cig./day gradually till once but he must have the will 2 do so, nicotine patch, nicotine gums may help. there's a drug named Zyban, it helps alot

take all his money away! so when he wants to buy a pack he will be broke and he will realize he cant buy a pack anyway. thats how i helped myself quit(2 months). now i see one and i dont want it
