Why does society still have unprotected se*x with all the AIDS and STD?

Some of them are doing it to reproduce, but the vast majority are doing it because they are not thinking! They think people "LOOK" clean, or that they are invincible.
Everyone thinks, "They look fine to me" or "It is not going to happen to me" or "I am only going to do it this ONE time"
because there are too many ignorant people that think they will not get any STD.
1. There is some people, believe it or not, who do not believe HIV exists.
2. There are people who don't care.
3. People get drunk and /or take drugs and forget to use condoms.
Lack of education or stupidity.
People's desire for pleasure covers over their need for safety. If they are about to have sex and don't have a condom, they will continue anyway because of their desire for pleasure and the strong temptation.
I'm not convinced its a societal issue.
I do think that passion gets in the way of common sense.
boys/men with big control issues and girls stupid enough to allow it.
They are weak minded people allowing their flesh and genitals rule over them instead of using their brains.
Most people don't even think about it when they are in that moment, and a lot of people don't even really care until after they've been infected.
some of it deals with mental issues also drinking and using drugs.

the generation are being discoverer.... especially the teenagers now they lack of sex education and the public is an open one to have sex.

i don't think immaturity has anything to do with making the decision of having unprotected sex, any immature person could know to use condoms, i think the people that mentioned passion/self control nailed it, sometimes in the heap of the moment, you don't think correctly, or if you're drunk, or if you're under the influence of any kind of drug, which is why they say people that do drugs are more likely to become infected with std's including hiv, including drug injected users.
people are just careless! i think this world is coming to an end
