Answers:
Do you mean premature ventricular contractions? In other words if you count your heart rate for 60 seconds are the beats regular or at irregular intervals? If regular, do you mean your heart pounds? If irregular does that mean a couple of times a minute there is a arythmic beat? Were you told to avoid caffeine( coffee, coke, chocolate, any stimulant drugs and msg containging foods? Certain substances cause increased palpitations
No, can't say I have. barthebear seems to know something about it. Below is what I looked up:
Palpitations resulting from premature contractions (PACs and PVCs) often require no specific treatment. The frequency of premature contractions can be reduced by stress reduction, stopping cigarettes, and reducing caffeine and alcohol consumption. High blood adrenaline levels can lead to premature contractions, while stress reduction helps to lower blood adrenaline levels. For patients with persistent palpitations and premature contractions, medications, such as beta-blockers, can be used to block the effect of adrenaline on the heart, thus reducing premature contractions.
i started having them recently too but i'm not sure if i have anything or if it's just my panic disorder being cautious. they're probably just palpitations, it's not that serious but i'm no doctor. hope you get better. =]
I had it.I thinks it best you take a heart Ultrasound.Sometimes they will tell you the samething. If you feel like water feeling inside your heart. You got congential heart faliture.I went to a hospital in 2003.they told me that I had panic attacks. But in August 2004 I had Open heart surgery.Get a second opinion is wise.
