Answers:
Look that up under: www@webmd.com AND talk to the doc that said he had it. Between the two, you should get all the help and information you want and need.
yes, surgery, have stints put in. Maybe oxygenated water therapy will help...Or chelation. Have him ask his doctor.
I dont want to come off rude and I do sympothize with you and especially your husband, but should,nt you be asking these questions and concerns to your husbands doctors? The best advise I can give you is to sit down and talk to his doctor and maybe even start writing down your questions and concerns you may have prior to speaking with the doctor this way you wont forget, I know if it were one of my loved ones having this surgery Id want to know everything. And dont let any doctor give you the run around, if he or she does,nt have time to talk to you, well to bad, he will have to make time, your the customer here, so to speak, good luck and hope he has a safe speady surgery. He can have a surgical procedure called a carotid endarterectomy, where the plaque is peeled out of the artery. In major medical centers, this can be done on an outpatient basis as a laporotomy type incision procedure. All invasive procedures have risks. Talk with your doctor to see what they think needs to be done. If you're not satisified, seek a second opinion, even, a third , if necessary.
