My roommate got herpes and we share a toilet. Will I catch it?

Short answer, no. You can't. Not unless you are having genital to genital sex with them. And don't let them know you feel like that, it really is expremely hurtful. Herpes is a virus passed by skin to skin contact. It only survives a very few seconds outside the body.
The ONLY STD you can get from a toilet seat it pubic lice (crabs) and even this is REALLY rare.

Pour some bleach on the toilet seat. That will do it!
It is so super unlikely. The only possible circumstance when you could catch it is if your roommate used the toilet and the seat was wet. The disease could live for a very short time in on a wet surface. Then it could theoretically be passed to you. Highly unlikely. Wipes will do just fine.
No you can't get herpes from sharing a toliet seat, come on, ya'll didn't learn anything in school about this stuff.
