Chronic Cough?

Question:
Everytime after I eat a meal I have this loud terrible chronic cough that hurts my chest. I have acid reflux and not sure if thats the reason why or if its because of something else. I dont smoke. So if anyone might have an idea...please share

Answers:
I would suspect that it is the result of acid reflux which must be kept under control because it can cause erosions in the eosophagus. These possibly can become cancerous. Nexium healed mine. Please get it checked out by a doctor.
Have you ever been tested for TB? This is prevalent among people that work with foreigners and homeless. Its contagious. You can be tested for for free at most Health Departments.
Yes, it is you acid reflux that is doing it.

Since your stomach lining isn't very good, you begin to cough the acid in your stomach up as your food begins to digest.

Why not take something for acid reflux, such as Prilosec otc

Acid reflux can hurt your lungs if you aspirate any acids from your stomach. This usually happens when you sleep. It can also cause COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) if you don't get your acid reflux under control. Acid reflux can also cause pneumonia too so make sure you get the acid reflux under control.
