What's the goods and bads to xanax and klonopin?

Both are bad, both are very addicting, xanax is worse. The only good is that they relieve anxiety. Some people die from trying to quit using medicines like that. Dont use long term ever, use short term only.
I don't remember my experience with Xanax, but Klonopin is unbelievably addictive. It's an anticonvulsant, so stopping it cold turkey has caused fatal seizures. Also, withdrawing from Klonopin is slow and extremely painful. I have tried without success for two years. I gave up smoking and drinking cold turkey and succeeded. Even weaning off Klonopin slowly was a failure for me. The "rebound" anxiety was indescribable. I've never felt like a junkie til I tried to get off this stuff.
So I am on maintenance and expect to be so for the rest of my days.
If there is ANY way you avoid this drug, do so. If you can't function without it - that's the only case I can see for using it. It is NOT to be trifled with.
