Not to get it in the first place.Dying of rabies would be a horrible way to go. Domestic animals need to be inoculated against it, which a vet can do. Once contacted by a human it can only be treated by a physician, and the treatment involves a series of shots. They are no longer painful like they used to be, but the treatment is lengthy, and hospitalization may be required. If it is suspected, contact your local health department right away to see if rabies has been found in your area,. And get to a hospital now!

Prevention is the key. If you are betten by a stray animal, the very first thing you want to do is wash out the wound THOROUGHLY with lots of soap and water. There is no cure, if you get bitten by an infected animal the only option is the course of preventative treatment (injections). There is no cure once an animal or person has the disease, death will follow.
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and i have already answered this there is only one cure 13 painfull stomach injections during the first stage you cannot cure
