If you had an EKG and it said something aboue "Eptopic Renal Infraction" or displacement, what is this?

Question:

Answers:
Sorry, but that doesn't make sense.
An EKG checks the heart.

Eptopic : ectopic (meaning unusual)
Renal : Kidney
Infraction : infarction (meaning death)

Taken together, it's nonsense. Sorry.
As an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) instructor, and someone well versed in reading EKG's, I'm going with the P.A. on this one.

Renal does mean kidney. Now, Ectopic could mean an errant beat. But you're confusing something that someone told you.

Call your healthcare provider, and ask them to clarify, then we can help you understand what you're dealing with.
