Bruises easily?

Question:
I have had "delicate skin" since birth. I tend to bruise very easily. I have no physical conditions which would contribute to this. I take vitamins, eat well, exercise...Does anyone have any advice how I can not be so sensitive to bruises?

Answers:
I have the same problem, I'm athletic, healthy, and take lots of vitamins. But I will bruise simply from hitting something lightly (such as the corner of a table!) and it's a pain to be walking around with huge bruises that look like i'm slapped around lol
I went to the doctor and he said i either have a blood platelet disorder (not enough white cells) that usually carry away damaged tissue to clear away a bruise, or i am not eating enough iron.
I suggest taking iron supplement pills, although it sounds like you take vitamins. There is nothing you can do to avoid bruising if you just bruise naturally, but there is a natural home remedy of lemonjuice and brown sugar that if you place it on the bruise it goes away quicker.
