Will a sunburn turn into a tan?

Question:
a went sailing and i am burnt and i really wanted a tan and i am worried that the burn wouldnt to turn into a tan

Answers:
Well one time when i went to a baseball game i stayed in the sun for a long time.My skin got really red and it hurt alot everytime when it barely got touched by anything. I wasnt wearing sunblock. A few days passed and my skin started to peel and the skin underneath got darker than what it used to be. Now everytime i wear nonsleave shirts or a dress my arms are darker than the rest of my body including my face.So its weird having a lighter face color and leg color compared to my arms. So im guessing that u could get a tan. Since i did i guess.
i am really pale - i burn-i peel- i am pale again
Your sunburn will only turn into a tan if it isn't too severe. Also putting a bit of aloe or burn ointment made for sunburn will help it not to peel off and reveal the skin underneath making it blotchy or back to it's normal color. Best bet is to try not to get burnt. Go out and once you start getting red get out of the sun or put some more sunblock on.
If you want a tan you must do it slowly over time. Your burn is going to peel off I'm afraid and leave you back where you started.
