It does not smell like pork ! It is one of the worst smells. There is nothing I can compare it with - it is just very bad.
There is a big difference in burning and roasting. If you roast any meat you do it at a certain temperate, however, if there is a fire and people are burning, that is the same smell like a house would burn down. Try burning your pork and you will find out.
I think it smells like burnt hair, but that could just be the skin.
