I am lactose?

ok im lactose intolernt and i am also 13 yrs old what should i eat to be a supplument of protein and should i take vitamins

Answers:
You don't need the supplement of protein - you get that when you eat meat. You need to make sure that you get Calcium. One way to do that is to take a calcium supplement.

Being lactose intolerant does not mean that you can't have dairy - get some lactaid pills and take them before you ingest a dairy product. Even with the lactaid pills, go easy on the dairy.
They also make lactose free alternatives for many food items such as milk, cheese, ice cream, etc. There are also soy products which are full of protein and calcium.
I'm lactose intolerant. I drink a lot of soy milk and go easy on the dairy combined with lactaid pills for when I really want that pizza...
it would probably be a good idea to take vitamins, talk to your doctor to find out which ones...to supplement protein, you could eat more (red) meat (hamburger, etc.), eat more vegetables, etc. All else fails, talk to your doctor or a dietitian, they could probably be more help than me
so am i, buy soy milk, get used to it.. try diff brand till you find one you like... soy ice cream, soy cheese, soy burgers... they are really good if cooked right... if you have a little everyday than you will get enough calcium so dont worry about extra vitamins... my toddler is lactose intolerent also, and loves soy mil, i have even tried regular milk and she doesnt like the taste...
I am much older than you but I find staying away from milk products is the best solution. However, if I was your age again I'm not sure I could do it. See you Doctor and he will give you some medicine that works very well for that. Good luck.
