What are some good excuses to use when calling into work?

Question:
I don't feel like going to work today, and need a good call-in excuse... I work in ICU at a hospital and have had a sinus infection for a few days now... Any ideas?

Answers:

See you tomorrow.
A skunk hit my dog.
Family emergency is always a good one. You don't have to fake being sick or have everyone ask you how your feeling when you show up the next day. It's also vague enough that most people won't ask for details as they may be afraid of the answer you give. If someone does ask, tell them you had to pick up a relative at the airport or something like that.
- you're not feeling well, sinus infection has gotten worse, food poisoning-diarrhea, urinary tract infection (male bosses won't ask and female bosses will sympathize)

- your child (if you have any) are not feeling well and you need to take them to see the doctors, or stay home with them

- family problems, most people won't probe for private details

- house problems-> busted pipe that needs urgent care
