Answers:
In addition to what the other people have said it could also be a sign of a problem with your retina. People often get flashes of light just before a retina detachment. Please see your doctor as soon as you can.
You aren't going blind but you may have what my eye doctor told me that I have and I didn't know you could get them in the eyes.

Migraines. They don't hurt but they can stop you from doing anything and makes you stop what you are doing.
According to webmd this could be caused by a migrane, or an occular migrane.
sometimes higher blood pressure can cause you to see flashes.
