be very cautious. its common knowledge that oral sex can transmit STD's. But did u know that if somebody has a small unoticeable cold sore in there mouth and they go down on you, they can give u an out break of cold sores on ur genitalia. its called herpes simplex 1 and its not often talked about. and it is a form of genital herpes. my boyfriend had been tested and he came back clean, but he still gave me simplex 1 b/c of a cold sore in his mouth. and it stays with u forever. so be careful. and read up on what can happen. knowledge prevents mistakes taking place in ignorance

oral sex is safer than genital to genital sex, many partners use protection while performing oral sex, so that makes it even safer, and main people contract stds by having unprotected genital to genital sex, not oral sex.
