Minimizing the appearance of scars?

Question:

I have a rather long scar on my arm from six years ago and it hasn't changed at all over time or gotten better even though I had put stuff like neosporin on it when it was healing, I don't see how people can say scars get better over time.I was just wondering if there was anything out there that's good for at least reducing the appearance of old scars? It's like raised on my arm and I don't think it'll ever go away at this point.

Laser surgery. You could use the Vit E and Tea tree oil, but at this stge of the game, 6yr old scar, I'd say it's not going to do much good. I have 15 yr old scar on my hand.

oh if you're ok about using make-up you could use foundation on it w/sunscreen

rub pure vitamin E oil on it frequently and massage the area

Like two years ago I got into a very bad car wrecked which left me with a bad scar on my hand and my scalp. I put neosporen (sp) on my hand alot, and keep it out of the sun. I put spf 45 on it everyday! That has helped it alot.
