I'm always thirsty, but drinking a lot of water is putting my bladder into a lot of stress. Is this normal?

Question:
I'm so afraid that i'm going to drink too much water and die. I have sinus problems-maybe thats related?

Answers:
If you've just started drinking a lot more than normal, it will feel weird for a few days, then your body will catch up with you. It's hard on a bladder to go from not drinking a lot, to drinking a lot, but it will get used to it. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3.0 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.unless you're drinking more than 3 liters of water, I really wouldn't be worried...BUT, if you feel like you can never get enough water, go to the doc, there are diseases that can make you feel that way.
Theres a type of diabetes (i think diabetes) that makes you drink a ton of water.. talk to your doc asap
If you're taking sinus meds, they could be drying you out so much that you're always thirsty. Also, extreme thirst could be a sign of diabetes and/or other ailments. Check with your doctor if it continues.
Do you take meds for the sinus problem that make you thirsty?
If you can NEVER seem to get enough to drink, then you need to go get checked out by a Dr. Constant thirst was a biggie for me before I was diagnosed with the Big Diabetes.
Good luck to you.

How long has this been going on? Are you also tired a lot? This maybe a sign of diabetes. And no you won't die from drinking water. The only way you could die from drinking water is if you drink an excessive amount in a short period of time.
How about diabetes?
Sounds like Type II Diabetes. That is exactly what I went through... had my blood sugar tested and that was it.
But do not wait to get checked... besides handling your current systems medication will prevent damage to your organs and prevent other health issues. - and change your diet if you eat alot of sugar.
God Bless.
Research diabetes, thats common when your thirsty.
Diabetes Mellitus is when sugar metabolism is at fault. There is other type of diabetes- diabetes insipidus. In this sugar metabolism is not affected. Patient drinks a lot of water and consequently passes large amount of urine. It is a disorder of posterior pituitary.
