Blood suger?

Question:
I have been testing my blood suger to see if i may have diabetes. I had my glucose fasting test come back as 5.7 for one of them. And try it over on a diffent day to see if it was the same. My reading was 5.7 and one time 5.6. This is in the normal level i think. But i picked up a glucose meter to see if it would tell me more. I have been runnig the test on my self for about 5 days now. Ater i have had a high carb meal it has been as high as 197 to 184. I test my self 2 hr's after i eat and 2 hr's before i eat. most of my test over the pass 5 days have been from 97 up to the 197. What do you all think? I will be going to be seeing my doctor this mo to talk with him about it.

Answers:
A nondiabetic should not have high blood sugar in most cases. That's why they aren't diabetic. Their pancreases are excreting enough insulin to compensate for the sugar that is consumed in order to keep levels at a healthy level.

You will need to see the doc. Maybe you will be able to treat it with diet and exercise.
Diabetes is usually a blood sugar of 126 (pre-diabetes 125-100), most diabetics need insulin coverage at 150.
A little high. Eat NO sugar.
Tim, Tim, Tim! Sugar is not the culprit you make it out to be. Quit steering these lovely people down the wrong road. Honey, you can have sugar in moderate amounts. But first, go to your doctor and get tested properly before you go off half cocked and ready to commit to being a diabetic. You doctor is your friend and can tell you what you need to know. Tim B. quit preaching about the sugar please!!

ABOUT UR SUGAR WELL UR GLUCOSE TO ME IS AT A PERFECT LEVEL BECAUSE MINE IS MUCH HIGHER THAN THAT. ABOUT UR SUGAR...I THINK ITS FINE SINCE MINE IS ALWAYS IN THE 200'S.
