Snot problem?

Question:
This is a little bit embarrassing but I seem to have a constant nasal problem. I always have snot drying up in my nose (more than most people i think) and crusting up, causing me to feel like I have to pick at it all the time. I don't do it in public or anything but it's a very annoying feeling. I know that i have seasonal allergies during the summer months causing my nose to run a lot and when i take allergy medicine it helps only a little bit. I just don't know if it's a good idea to be taking it every day. Does anyone know what i could do to help the problem?

Answers:
You need to go see your allergist to get your allergies under control. Next use vaseline inside your nostrils every day to keep them moist. Also use saline nasal spray to keep you nasal passages moist. Once you see your allergist and get your allergies under control either with meds or with allergy shots I sure things will be a lot better.
i take benedryl which is known to block allergies and that seems to help me
Boil a glass of water add two pinches of table salt. let it be bearable cool. rinse your nose (Pull the water from each of your nostril closing the other one so that the water hits your throat inside) twice a day especially before going to bed. You will be relieved.
