Diabetes concern?

It sounds like you are on a pretty tight schedule of control of Type 1 diabetes. Diabetics are not more prone to injury than anybody else. They are prone to slow healing if they don't have good blood sugar control.
The issue with the feet is that sometimes even those with good control lose some feeling in their feet, even early in the disease. This is why you must visually inspect your feet, especially now that you have a cut, to make sure there is no infection.
Watch for redness extending beyond where the actual cut is, warmth, swelling and/or excessive pain. If any of these occur, get it looked at by a doctor or podiatrist.
it's something you should be careful about. with the diabetes possibly causing poor circulation in the feet, you should probably be safe and get it checked.
Diabetics are predisposed to injuries as it is in your case. Most probably your sandal was tight fit or you did hurt yourself somewhere ! As for your concern its not v serious if its minor one. all you hav to do is to take proper care of that area until it heals properly like maintaining proper hygiene not allowing your feet to b wet for prolonged times you may apply some antiseptic there if its a minor wound. And above all to maintain proper diet and blood sugar levels by taking prescribed dose of insulin ( consult your physician for this ) if it doesnt heal in 5-6 days or worsens you may hav to consult your doc or a chiropodist -doctor who specializes in taking care of foot. If you maintain proper hygiene keep your sugar levels under control i think you wont hav any problems :)
My experience has been, the better I take care of my sugar, the better my wounds heal. Keep it clean and watch it. If it doesn't begin to heal right away, definitely have it looked at. If your blood sugar is consistently where it belongs, and you take care of it, you probably have nothing to worry about.
