Medication for long term diseases?
Question:
Can anyone tell me how many times a day a person have to take the mdicine, and the kind of medicine when he/she has heart attack, high blood pressure, cholesterol, lung diseases or urinary tract infections?
thanks.
Answers:
The frequency of medication wholly depends upon a number of factors. Initially, the diagnosis, the extent of the illness, and the type of medication used. Many medications are prescribed to fit into our daily lives easily. However, sometimes complex medical conditions and multiple diagnosis' mean that medications need to be taken at various times and involving certain factors such as before/after meals etc. However, some medical conditions need medications to be administered differently than through conventional oral methods such as via IV (Intra-venus). It is also sometimes necessary for the administration of certain medications to be managed by medical professionals because of risk and other clinical complexities. This is to ensure that the optimum functioning of the drug is achieved and so that the body has a constant supply of medication.
In theory your question is somewhat naive and in order to give correct advice you would need to be a tad more specific.
Hope this helps.
The best "medicine" for the above, is prevention. Healthy diet and lifestyle with good weight management and exercise all help to live a long and trouble free life. If you already have those problems, all medicine can do is ease the symptoms. Many folks (including me) have gotten over those maladies by following this doctor's advice: http://www.drmcdougall.com
There are different medicines for the same condition, it won't be possible to give a dose schedule just on the basis of diagnosis.
