What increases your risk for having a brain tumor?
Question:
2. Too much TV
3. Cellular phones
4. inhaling chemicals or if you worked at a manufacturing plant that involves working with carcinogenic chemicals.
I recall someone telling me that the radiation that is emitted from computer monitors and TV increases the chances but I personally believe its absurd. If that's the case then computer programmers or couch potatoes or any career that involves long hours in front of the computer puts you at risk. Isn't a brain tumor very rare especially if you're young? I recall whenever I have headaches or just feel funny; my doctor would laugh it off and tell me it's in my head when I suggested it being a brain tumor. Anyone know what would give the doctor the obvious sign that "yeah you need to get a MRI done" Anyone know what increases the risk?
Answers:
Take a look at the article by the Environmental scientist Dr Gina Solomon in the Spring 2002 edition of Search.
" Some chemicals have been found to cause dramatically high rates of brain tumors in animals"
Cell phones have not been proven to have any effect, however I suspect that if you are utilizing the ear bud or bluetooth you have even less to worry about.
I have not seen any evidence that TV watching or computer screens have any impact on brain tumor formation.
I suspect that some people are genetically more susceptible to brain tumors than others based upon their DNA, and that there is some environmental factor, that may help trigger them possibly while they are in the womb. But I don;t think anyone really knows yet.
Hope this helps
God bless and with kind regards

i would go with # 4
#4,and any kind of infection, like ear, sinus, strep throat can evolve into an infection that would cause a tumor.
but most people are predisposed....
I've had two brain-stem tumor operations. I'm not exactly sure what caused them and neither did the doctors. They said it could have been stress and tension. I had two kids then and my surgeon told me pregnancy could speed the growth. I went on and had two more kids.
#5 Eat steaks twice a day every day for forty years will do it. Try, if you do not believe it.
The Computer and Cell Phone emit around the same amount of radiation.
Hmm...Number 4...why? have you inhaled some chemicals?! *gasp* lol jk.
Tv...not sure, but it probably does fry your brain a little XD
I always thought maybe I'd get brain tumour (I hope I haven't)...I've been to the doctors loadsa times, because I was dizzy, headachy, sick, sensitive to bright light etc for months last year, I even went to the specialists at the hospital and they told me some random stuff and they guessed that I had this weird balance thing, where my brain doesn't work with my eyes? um...no that sounds a bit wrong. Maybe I'm epileptic, I get ill from watching long films...
anyways I'll shut up now...
Lol I don't know anything much about brain tumors, so here read it off wikipedia =D
