Why do I shake 2/3 hours after eating breakfast?
Question:

It's an hypoglycemic episode. Not uncommon, always happened to me from Shredded Wheat. I know now that I have type I (childhood onset) diabetes, just didn't know, and was never suspected.
Most people don't feel that way. I recommend a GTT (glucose tolerance test) and if you are normal, just eating some protein with your bnreakfast (eggs). They help the energy from your food to absorb a little more slowly and not peak and valley so much. Fiber is also a big help, but your shredded wheat probably has some, just not as much as it has simple carbs (from being bleached out I'd guess).
Either your blood sugar is rising or falling..sounds like you should get checked for Diabetes!
i got checked. and i was told to have more protien and less sugars.
i have normal blood sugar but get the shakes when i let myself get real hungry.
You should eat a fruit such as a banana or apple with breakfast and make sure you get enough to drink, either 1/2% milk or water or 100% orange juice (get one with least sugar as possible).
Lightheadedness is usually a sign of dehydration and malnutrition. Breakfast is really important so please try to eat more than just a lowfat or healthy cereal.
Maybe cuz u r not eating a enough of the other important foods. When i am hungry my bells growls like crazy .
U should get ur blood pressure checked. Sounds like my friends prob. In the early 2000's she had ur same prob so she was checked out and had low sugar.
you are not getting enough to eat.Cereal does not stay in your system very long after about two hours after you eat you need to eat a snack a piece of fruit and that will carry you over til you eat lunch
Mike is right. That is low blood sugar. And if it is every day, you might as well buckle down and learn to eat around it so you won't keep having these floating to the floor feelings. Not fun at all.
