I have a small lump in the middle of my neck-what is it?

They're glands in your neck. I used to get these a lot too. Theres two ones that typically get swollen under your neck, its how you tell you're sick? Well, they're a bit like that but you dont need to be sick for them to get inflamed. They just get irritated. You cant do anything for them. I went to the doctor and thats pretty much what they told me.
i'd take some motrin/tylenol to make the tenderness subside!

It may just be a swolen gland but if it's been there a while and doesn't seem to be going anywhere I would definately get it checked out! It could be something to do with your thyroid.
The good news is that its tender, if it didnt have any feeling that is something you would have to worry about it but most likely its just a lymph note or it could even be a syst, but most likely you should have it checked out just to ease your mind but I am sure you are more than okay, plus you age is at your advantage, very young, that can always rule out many factors.
Front or back.? if it is in the back, check that it may be a mosq. bite or an in grown hair..
