Sinus infection help!?

Question:
what is the name of the anti-biotic commenly prescribed for sinus infections? i cant afford to go to the dr this week and figure i can just obtain a prescripton for them.

Answers:
Well you have to go to the doctor to get an Rx. And if your calling the doc, they typically know what to give you. The z-Pack (Zithromax) is pretty commonly given for Sinus Infections.
The best one is Augmentum (875 mg BID or twice a day).
fluxocillian is what i get..a while ago i had bad sinus pain, it was a weekend and the doctors was shut, i took some Migraine tablets and within an hour the sinus pressure had gone..
I've taken Azithromycin for a variety of upper respiratory infections, including sinus and it was very effective. I'm in Canada, so our perscriptions are cheaper, but I don't think it would be that much more in the States. You only take it for 3 days, and it's in your system for 7. Plus, it's not a giant horse pill like a lot of antibiotics.
