My wife has muscular dystrophy and her condition is worsening?
Question:
Any thoughts? (abusive comments will get you reported - go to myspace if you want to be a jerk - I'm looking for people who HAVE it or DEAL with it or know something about disabilities or genuine insights - not just opinions for points)
Thanks.
Answers:
Do you have a family member who can be there with her to help with the kids?
You may have to hire a Nanny to help with things, you wife would still be there to be the authorities figure, but while you are at school/work someone can help with anything.
I would call the MD office and ask them about options.
Good luck and God Bless You.
Aww. Thats too bad. Sorry. : ) My friend at school has that. Theres nothing I can do but I will pray. : )
My mom has MS and she is on medicine that stoped the affects of MS mabey you should look into medicines most insuarnces cover that kinda stuff. good luck and keep praying
Both my grandfather and my friend's mother have Parkinson's disease. I know that it is not the same thing but it is still debilitating and they have had to alter their lifestyles to handle it. You should get things for around your house to help her get around. That way she can still manage to do her everyday things. Check out www.worxforlife.com. They have some great products at good prices that can help. They have products that can help buckle a seatbelt, open jars, comb hair, get up from chairs etc... I hope this helps!
