At your age, it is highly unlikely that there is anything wrong with you. From what you have said, it sounds like you have got yourself in a bit of an anxious state. We all get out of breath sometimes - if you are in the UK, we have gone from really wet and coldish weather to being close and very warm. You also say you have a poor diet. Try eating more health - perhaps introduce an apple and a banana to your diet every day. Start to relax and try and forget about the breath - sometimes when we focus on one particular thing in our bodies we notice every move and question every change - it's not good. You are not going to die - when I was your age I was convinced I was going to die but i am still here are the age of 41!. We all have a fear of dying but you have your whole life ahead of you so get out there, get some fresh air and enjoy yourself. Keep busy over the school holidays and joins some groups. They key is to have a purpose and to keep busy.
Start eating properly then.
see nobody wants 2 die and i think u should just relax cuz everyone dies eventually and if u keep worryin urself like this u will not enjoy life to the fullest. r u sick in anyway? maybe thats wuts scaring u. i dont know wut else to say but i really think u should relax
u could be anaemic. when my daughter was about yr age she was aneamic. causes shortness of breath, lightheadedness, dizzyness, maybe fainting. u should get checked by a doc. maybe u need some iron tablets. it maybe poor diet but dont worry about that for the moment if it is anaemia then if its got to this stage needs to be treated. could also be an allergy or asthma, but whatever u need to get it checked by doctor. dont worry dont think u will die yet but get it sorted and u will feel much better. good luck, ps if u cant confide in yr parents then try a school nurse or maybe someone else u trust.
sort it out with your parents
advice dont give your age out to strangers
I had a freind with this same condition... she went through three doctors and a battery of tests before finally accepting the answer... ANXIETY!

While I can tell you all day long that you need a low-dosage anti-anxiety drug, I am NOT a doctor... so my best advice would be to go see one, no matter what anyone thinks. And when you go see the doctor, PLEASE listen to what he/she says.

Once you know what is wrong, it will take a huge load off of you, and you will immediately begin to feel better.

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you want details on what has happened to my friend, and how she overcame her problem =)
sounds like asthma. do you have a cough and/or weezing?
there are a few things we need to know. Are you wheezy, do you have a cough and is the breathlessness etc affecting your sleep? Any chest pains/ tightness? weight gain++ recently? foreign travel? night sweats? Palpitations? Sounds like u need a chest examination too. Maybe u could see a nurse practitioner or practice nurse if u feel uncomfortable about seeing a GP. you could always ask your mother to attend if you do not want your father to know.
I reckon it's just your age, you know, hormones and things kicking in, stop worring, you'll be all right.
I really think this is anxiety related, one of the main symptoms of an anxiety attack is feeling like you are short of breath, or taking short, shallow, quick breaths - hyperventilating. Although scary, this is totally harmless, having panic attacks is not dangerous, it is just very scary. Sometimes we have them for no apparent reason, they just come out of nowhere. I have had them for years so I sympathise with how you are feeling just now, but you are NOT going to die, but you do need to tell your doctor, they will refer you to someone who can help - and please don't worry about the stigma of seeing a 'shrink' - you are not crazy or stupid, this happens to a lot of people. Get help now, and you will be able to get over this xx
I used to get severe panic attacks in bed when I was seven about the same things. I never told anyone about it though, and they eventually went away. Mine had to do with some different kinds of unpleasant happenings, but you're going to be fine, you should tell your dad that you keep panicking, and let him know that its more than your diet.

You wont die, I promise.
Sounds like asthma which i find is always worse when the weather is hotter. If you live in a town or a city the pollution and the pollen rate is higher than say by the sea or in the country. You should go to see your GP because asthma is serious and they can soon give you something to help you breathe.

I have reason to believe im dying and im at the age of 15.
I don't know what to do about your problem sorry I just wanted to comment, and i hope all gets sorted out.
Sometimes i have something similar but it's not a panic attack, I just stop breathing temporarily it's like I can't breathe and when that happens i think god im gonna die but it only happens like 2 seconds everytime it happens im worried about that too so you're not alone with this sorta stuff.
