Has anyone experieced racing heart and shivering in the night whilst in bed?

Question:
For a the past year or so ive experienced whilst being asleep difficulty in breathing and i wake up half asleep not being able2 move or breathe for a say 30-40secs. Just the other night this happened but this time whilst being awake i felt very faint and was shaking all over and shivering. I could hardly breathe and my legs felt like jelly i also had bad abdomanal pain with diarrhea prior to me waking up and feeling these symptoms. I was very scared and felt as though i was dying and nearly went to the emergency doctors in the middle of the night. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? And could aqnyone advise me on what could be wrong? Thank-you.

Answers:
Theres a couple of things it could be,if you are taking any prescription tablets it could be a side effect.

It could be panic attacks, they feel very like what you described, they are caused through anxiety, are you worried about anything?

They can even happen whilst you are asleep.
You do any drugs? Only time i ever felt like that was coming off opiates.
its from taking illegal substances, trust me
oo bless i hope u feel better soon.

However, if you have diarrhea then you should go to the doctors and tell them- they'll give you diarolyte to replace all the essential vitamins and stuff you've lost - you can buy this without a prescription from the chemist. Definately take this.

You should definately see a doctor about your shivering and breathing - i think this releated to your lungs (thats what the doctor told my mum) - it could also be related to scleoris

It could be palpitations. I suffered from these during pregnancy and the shivers came soon after (not enough blood getting around your body) See your doctor for a heart monitor. Mine turned out to be fine.
Im not absolutely sure but you could be experiencing panic attacks, they can cause all the symptoms that you describe. Shortness of breath, shaking, heart racing, see a doctor soon as you can. Explain everything that happens, they should be able to then ascertain what is wrong. If its panic attacks you can get medicine to combat them and help from a counsellor if so advised. Don't suffer in silence.
There could be a number of answers but I do advise you speak to your Dr...Is it drugs or medication if not it could either be IBS, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, this can cause the shivering, pains and feeling faint. It can also give a feeling of being exhausted as the body has had to cope with a flood of different symptoms all at the same time...Your diet needs to be looked at as this can be avoided by what you eat..Also stress can cause various symptoms like panic attacks which can cause shortness of breath, chest pains etc. The only other thing have you got an infection, water infection. Sometimes when you have a water infection this can give the symptoms of shaking, feeling like jelly, sweating etc...However go to your Dr and take a water sample with you so they can do a test while your there. Old tablet bottle will do just make sure washed out, clean and dry before use. Hope you feel better soon but go to the Dr as they are medically trained the more you worry the worse your symptoms will become
