with diabetes or pre-diabetes,
the nurse should have given
you all this information.

However, I'm going to take a guess that you are already using a glucose meter and the reading you are getting on it just says "High".
If that is what is happening, it is because your blood sugar is too high for the meter to measure and you should get immediate medical attention.
